Louise Vincent

Louise Vincent is the executive director of NC Survivors Union in North Carolina, USA and is on the leadership team of National Survivors Union, the American national drug users union. The first annual recipient of the Dan Biggs award, she is an activist and educator who specialises in women’s health, drug policy reform, and the meaningful engagement of people who use drugs. Her work in drug user health and social justice has driven the expansion and acceptance of harm reduction throughout the U.S. South. Louise is committed to creating and evaluating user informed systems and developing organisational leadership using horizontal structures and feminist theory. Her expertise has created opportunities for system change and movement building locally, nationally, and internationally.
